About Throwbackr

Hi all! I'm Giuliano Ribeiro (@giubr on Flickr). I work in technology but find my true passion in capturing moments through a lens.

I've been a Flickr user for over 15 years. One feature I always missed was a simple way to "see one year back" across my entire archive—a personal "Throwback Thursday" for every day of the year. So, I decided to build it.

Throwbackr is designed to be lightweight and respectful. It connects directly to the Flickr API to retrieve your memories in real-time. I do not store any of your personal data or photos on my servers.

Privacy & Security

Signing into Throwbackr with Flickr is handled entirely by Flickr's secure OAuth process. Authorizing the app simply gives it permission to "read" your photos so they can be displayed here.

Your privacy remains exactly as you've set it on Flickr. This tool is built by a photographer, for photographers, with the sole purpose of rediscovering our own history.
